ACHS celebrates Native American Heritage Month by recognizing the rich cultures, histories, and lasting contributions of Native peoples. Our schools stand on land once home to Indigenous communities like the Nacotchtank, Piscataway, Pamunkey, and Tauxenent. We’re committed to making sure all students feel seen and valued—not just this month, but all year long. Through inclusive lessons and celebrations, we aim to reflect the diverse voices that shape our shared story. We thank Native Americans for all they’ve given to our country and communities. As learners and educators, we promise to teach with respect, accuracy, and cultural awareness.
