Transportation Information
Arlington Community High School (ACHS)1450 S. Eads Street, Suite 55 Arlington, VA 22202
ACHS is located in the National Landing/Pentagon City area, with several transportation options including ART, Metro, biking, walking, and student parking.
Arlington Transit (ART)
ART provides convenient connections to ACHS from throughout Arlington.Routes serving the ACHS/Pentagon City area:
- ART 42 – Ballston • Virginia Square • Clarendon • Courthouse • Pentagon/Pentagon City
- ART 74 – Arlington Village • Arlington View • Columbia Pike • Pentagon City
- ART 84 – Douglas Park • Green Valley • Pentagon City
- ART 87 – Shirlington • South Arlington • Army Navy Drive • Pentagon/Pentagon City
Metrobus & Metrorail
Students can use Metrobus and Metrorail to travel to ACHS. Pentagon City Station (Blue & Yellow Lines) is the closest Metrorail station. Crystal City Station is also nearby.
iRide Student SmarTrip Card
APS students with a registered Student iRide SmarTrip Card can ride Arlington Transit buses for free and may use the card for eligible Metrobus trips.
APS Public Transportation Information
Biking & Walking ACHS is connected to Arlington’s pedestrian and bicycle network. Nearby Capital Bikeshare stations include:
- Eads St. & 15th St. S.
- Eads St. & 12th St. S.
Students should plan their route in advance and follow pedestrian and bicycle safety guidelines.
Student Day Parking
Students who drive to ACHS may use the Pentagon Centre Mall parking garage: 1201 S. Hayes Street, Arlington, VA 22202

Garage Access
From I-395 / 12th Street:Cross Army Navy Drive, turn left onto 12th Street, and look for the garage entrance on the right near the Marshalls, Best Buy, Nordstrom Rack, and Five Below signs.
From 15th Street & Grant Street:Turn onto Grant Street and look for the garage entrance on the left near the same retail signs.
Parking Details
- Managed by SP+ Parking
- Approximately 6:00 a.m.–11:00 p.m.
- No overnight parking
- Pay-on-foot machines are available inside the mall.
- Payment stations are also available at the exit.
ACHS Parking Validation
ACHS will provide parking validations.
- Pull a parking ticket when entering.
- Keep your original ticket.
- Get an ACHS validation ticket.
- At the exit, scan your original parking ticket first.
- Then scan the ACHS validation ticket.
