Celebrating Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month

Celebrating Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month

This May, APS proudly celebrates Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, honoring the history, culture, and contributions of AAPI communities in the U.S. Throughout the month, schools will host activities that highlight AAPI traditions, achievements, and stories. We encourage students, staff, and families to participate and deepen their understanding of these diverse cultures. On Thursday, May 15, the Arlington School Board will recognize outstanding AAPI student leaders from APS high schools—students who have excelled academically, shown resilience, and made a difference in their communities. Let’s celebrate the strength, creativity, and enduring impact of AAPI communities together.
