At ACHS, we are committed to fostering a community where every student and family feels seen, valued, and respected. Arab American Heritage Month is an opportunity to learn about the traditions, histories, and perspectives that shape Arab American experiences. “Arab” refers to a cultural and linguistic identity, not a race or religion, and reflects a wide range of backgrounds and beliefs. We encourage our community to engage in learning and reflection by exploring literature, music, history, and the contributions of Arab Americans.
This is a special time to celebrate the rich culture, history and contributions of Arab Americans in our community and across the nation. The Arab world consists of 22 countries in the Middle East and North Africa, including nations like Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Morocco. Arab Americans represent a vibrant and diverse community whose contributions span education, science, business, government, the arts, and public service.
